Zingalify Overview
Zingalify is the Zingasuite app for authoring and delivering online tests, exams, and assessments. You build a test once, publish it, and deliver it to candidates through a dedicated take portal — with timing, scoring, proctoring, and optional AI assistance all handled for you.
You work in Zingalify from the Zingasuite console at https://console.zingasuite.com. Candidates never sign in to the console; they answer from a separate candidate site at https://take.zingasuite.com.
What you can do end to end
- Author a test — organise it into sections and question groups, and add questions of many different types.
- Generate or import content — write questions by hand, import them in bulk, reuse questions from your item bank, or draft a whole test with AI.
- Publish — each publish freezes an immutable version of the test, so results always stay reproducible even after you keep editing.
- Invite candidates by email or SMS, or share a link.
- Deliver the test through the take portal, with a server-controlled timer and your chosen level of proctoring.
- Score automatically for objective questions and review essays, recordings, and code by hand.
- Report on outcomes — bands, per-section breakdowns, certificates, and optional AI interpretation reports.
Many kinds of tests
A test has a kind that frames what it measures. The available kinds are:
| Kind | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Knowledge | Subject-matter exams and quizzes |
| Technical | Role-specific technical skills |
| Cognitive | Aptitude and reasoning ability |
| Memory | Recall and working-memory tasks |
| Language | Language proficiency |
| Psychometric | Personality and trait inventories |
| Situational judgement (SJT) | Scenario-based decision making |
| Behavioural | Behavioural and competency assessments |
| Survey | Questionnaires and feedback forms |
| Training | Learning checks and course assessments |
Rich question types
Zingalify supports a wide catalogue of question types — from multiple choice, true/false, matching, and ordering, through fill-in-the-blank, hotspots, and drag-and-drop, up to essays, audio and video responses, drawings, and technical items such as a code editor, SQL sandbox, and spreadsheet. See Question & Item Types for the full list.
Questions can be bundled into shared-stimulus groups — a passage, image, case study, or video that stays on screen while the candidate works through several linked questions.
Ordering and structure
Each section controls how its questions are served:
- Sequential — fixed order.
- Random — shuffled for every candidate.
- Random pool — sample a subset from a larger pool of questions.
- Grouped with dependencies — order question groups by prerequisite relationships so some content is only reached after other content.
Proctoring and per-attempt billing
Every test carries a proctoring tier, from no monitoring up to a live human proctor, letting you match integrity controls to what is at stake. Delivery is billed per attempt, and the cost reflects the proctoring tier you choose. A public free tier lets anyone try standard tests with a small monthly attempt allowance; paid accounts unlock the full feature set.
The candidate experience
Candidates receive a personal link and complete the test in the browser at https://take.zingasuite.com. Answers auto-save as they go, the timer is enforced by the server (not the candidate's clock), and work is protected against tab-switching and connection drops. See Taking a Test for details.
